How many players will go to the World Cup?
The World Cup is a stage in the football World that everybody wants to go to for once at least. Every nation which qualifies for the world cup was required to submit their 26 players squads to FIFA by November 14 and FIFA would finalize the list of players for the FIFA World Cup on November 15. Some of the teams submitted their squads before time. These squads used to be a 23-players team until FIFA World Cup 2022 and now it’s increased to 26-players squad including three goalkeepers.
Before this round of squad qualification, one release list of players between 35 and 55 was also submitted to FIFA by every participant nation that included. This was supposed to happen by October 21, 2022 and the final list of 26 and minimum 23 players was released by FIFA on its official website on November 15.
It was on June 23, 2022, when the Bureau of the FIFA Council approved the increase of football squad members in the release list (33 to 35) and final list (23 to 26). Another factor that affected this was the timing of the tournament in the football calendar and completely disturbing impacts of COVID 19.
One thing that’s exceptional in the FIFA World Cups is that there is no age restriction for players to play in the competition. Skills and playing style are all that matter.
